If you're going to splurge on booze, this is how to do it
Bottle service in L.A. is about as common as velvet ropes and busty blondes. By now the routine has become pretty standard: Call ahead to a hot venue and book a table, arrive at said hot venue and see yourself whisked past aforementioned velvet rope, plunk down at a table with expensive bottle of liquor and various mixers for you to fumble with. It seems pretty straightforward—the kind of formula you don’t bother messing with. But hotshot nightclub Area has messed with the formula and effectively upped the ante.

Approaching the table treatment from a luxury standpoint, Area has created a Tableside Mixology program. So instead of leaving patrons to fend for themselves, Area sets them up with a mixologist for the evening. And we’re not talking your garden variety Screwdrivers or Rum and Cokes. Try concoctions created from freshly squeezed juices, hand-pressed seasonal fruits, herbs and vegetables, helping to make creative cocktails such as the Fresh Watermelon Cucumber Margarita and the Blackberry Jalapeno Kamikaze.
