Once a Hispanic cowboy hangout, El Prado now fancies itself a beer and wine bar for those who enjoy the comfortable art of hanging out with pals and listening to records. Yes, real records—not an iPod or a CD, but vinyl spinning on a record player. The drink and snack menus change weekly, and you never know when the decor will change as well—meaning you might stumble out on a Thursday only to revisit Friday night and find a totally different bar. Another interesting tidbit: Mitchell Frank, who promotes at Spaceland and co-owns the Echo, is a partner. This is sure to attract the hip kids faster than a sale at American Apparel.

I usually go here and I love this little bar. It gets a bit busy, but it's a great time. Good variety of beers on tap.
