Libertine
- 8210 Sunset Blvd.
- Los Angeles, CA 90046

Rumor has it that 8210 Sunset was once Charlie Chaplin's home in the '20s and later a speakeasy. Fact has it that it was an apartment building until the '70s, which explains why Libertine has the feel of a house party. Conceived as an anti-club, it never has a list at the door or a cover charge. Rather, it's a laid-back, fun-for-all club that attracts a jeans-wearing crowd. All that's missing is a keg, but the inexpensive cocktails ($6 for drinks made with premium liquor) make up for that.
