MJ’s is known for a lot of things;
subtlety is not one of them. With something going on every night of
the week—including its packed "Rim Job Tuesdays"—it
is, in terms of popularity, to Silverlake what the Abbey is to West
Hollywood. Self-proclaimed as "Silverlake's first ever gay rock-n-roll
night," Trailer Trash Mondays offers a break from the
likes of those who frequent Tigerheat by banning go-go boys and bitchy
queens with attitude. Rock out to beats spun by DJ Ricky Real, more
likely to play Joan Jett and Lynryd Skynyrd than Rihanna and Justin
Timberlake. With free pool table access and drinks served at half price
all night long, we can't think of any better reasons to go—well,
except maybe to find a hot, tattooed, eastside guy to make out with.
