This converted strip club has quickly evolved into one of the most popular new spots in L.A., thanks to shows by the likes of rapper Pigeon John and Austin rockers Trail of Dead. The 465-capacity club boasts an outdoor patio in the front for scenesters to get their smoke on and show off this week's latest sartorial expressions. While Franki Chan's wildly popular "Check Yo Ponytail" recently relocated to the even newer Ex Plx club on the east side, Safari Sam's is still a (literally) hot spot (they're in serious need of AC) to catch new music or top-flight old-school acts like The Germs. Shadowscene.com can often be spotted snapping photos of the fashion victims and cool kids in the crowd.

Safari Sam's is open for dinner seven nights a week and Sunday brunch for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Late night dining is also available. A 45-seat patio area is available for dining and drinking throughout the night.
