I been to this club before and it was cool, But now I have a big problem with this club. While ur patiently waiting in line (For A While), There's this people that work for the club letting people in to the front of the line that gets everyone frustrated. We where a big party going, we decided to just walk away. Its not worth seeing all these people shoving people in the front while ur still waiting. I don't mind two or three people but 54 in total, And yes I have to say it does look nice inside, But not worth it for all that hassle. I have to agree with the last review the security are taking there job way to seriously. Its a club. Not the Governors Ball. We ended up going to a small bar/dance club and its was a really fun time. It doesn't matter where u go, it matters who you go with.

ridiculous safety measures

I have been to Highlands yesterday night for the first time, w/ recommendation from a good friend. We were two girls looking for a fun night out, however, a much anticipated night turned into a farcical experience thanks to the ridiculous safety measures implemented by the security staff of the Highlands, and their incredibly rude behavior. For your information, you need to leave your mobile phone's headphone devices and any kind of gum at home before going to this place, because they take them at the entrance, w/ no logical explanation whatsoever, for reasons of security! I could never understand how I could represent any security threat to anyone w/ my headphones or GUM, but nobody bothers to explain anyways. And after the entrance to this place, which have multiple rooms and really nice terraces etc. your night becomes an unending and unnecessary circling between stairs thanks to the barricading of the entries by security staff, saying you cannot enter from that way, because that is the Exit. I can understand that they may want to organize entries and exits to stop unnecessary crowding or chaos, but remind you, all this happens around 11 PM, when the place is not even packed yet. For their praise, the place is nicely decorated and you can find a music for your taste in one of the multiple rooms probably, but the place is soo huge and never full enough that you cannot even get into the mood of dancing! Finally, sick and tired of the ridiculous security measures and the boring atmosphere of the place, we decided to leave around midnight, just to be subject to another round of rude and disrespectful treatment at the exit by the bodyguards when we asked for our headphones and gums back. This place needs a serious training for its security staff and a reconsideration of its safety measures. People go out to have fun at night, not to feel like in a Gestapo camp and be humiliated by the security people! I would rather go to a more low-key place where I would feel comfortable rather than this pretentious, ridiculous club!
