Hush seems to have teamed up with some great promoters and now it is HOPPING! I went on a Saturday night with some friends and we knew a promoter for the place so we didn't have a hard time getting in (and we were all girls). There wasn't too bad of a crowd outside when we go there. It was crowded and had an awesome DJ playing house, rap/hip-hop, and remixes of those genres. No burlesque dancers or jazz... maybe that's on a different night. Great crowd - most people are down to have fun, meet each other, and impress each other! People are very social and I'm convinced it's because the place feels a bit cramped but it forces you to start conversations with random people. All the tables were reserved by people who were willing to share. I'm honestly not employed by the club or promoters even though it seems as if I'm trying to promote the place - I really did just have a great time!!!

I stopped by this place on a Friday night because I was thinking of hosting my birthday there. 4 of us waited outside for about 20 minutes even though there was not a single person in line, we were on the list, and there was nobody inside. We were told they wanted to let a few girls in first. So we looked around and there wasn't even a human being in sight. What a joke! I understand trying to make a place look exclusive, but to me this is just plain bad business. Regardless, we ended up inside finally for a drink. Place is small, but had a cool, nostalgic 1920's feel. Few people were still eating dinner and a burlesque dancer was on stage doing her thing. They have a couple different rooms that we wanted to check out, but some doorman was standing there saying it was a private party. I peaked my head in and not even a single person inside. I was going to explain my case that I was checking it out as a birthday venue possibility, but it wasn't even worth it. Place is good for 1 drink at best. If you're looking for a similar place but 10 times better, just head to the Edison in downtown. I can’t imagine this place around in 6 months.
