Tues nights are OK / Weekends are lame

Tues. night's are great if you're looking for good live funk/soul music with their resident band that plays every week; with a good dj playing funk and soul between sets. Although I've grown up in LA/Venice area, I dont recognize this crowd and I'm not sure where they come from?? I would avoid this place on the weekends as it turns into a wack club version of a bar, much like the rest of the bar's on the weekend's...it loses all it's character and the music turns to horrible pop/club music trying to cater to the weekend crowds. Good thing is that it's free and there's rarely a long line so you dont have much to lose.
