The deal: You already know about the Edison's happy-hour on Thursdays, when the specialty 1910 martinis go for 35 cents each. But did you know the bar has taken generosity to the next level with an even better deal on Fridays? Not only has the establishment added two more 35-cent cocktails to its menu—the Bourbon Bailout and the gin-based 401(k) served half-empty (get it?)—it’s also serving free tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

When: Fridays; 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bottom line: Part of the proceeds go to the Downtown’s Women Center as well as the Midnight Mission so go ahead, splurge on some fries.
