Monday night @ Fais Do-Do

The deal: You might not expect film screenings at this New Orleans-style bar specializing in 18-piece jazz bands, flapper girls and soul music, but that’s what you’ll get on Tuesdays, when the Conference Room Gallery takes over the venue. Expect everything from offbeat thrillers like Intacto to classics including In the Heat of the Night, which won the Oscar for best picture in 1967. There’s no cover at the door, no cost for popcorn and the pool table is free so long as you’re nice about it. Too bad you can’t pay your other bills with niceness.
When: Tuesdays; doors open at 6 p.m., screening starts at 8 p.m.
Bottom line: $0 sure beats the ArcLight’s $13 movie tickets.
