The anticipation surrounding the Kress made this five-story Hollywood club a hit before it even opened, thanks in part to Paris Hilton hosting a private masquerade ball there. While the rest of the country tightened its collective belt, Mike Viscuso spared no expense renovating the former Frederick’s of Hollywood space: There’s a Champagne bar in the basement club bathroom, a decadent red-and-gold art deco restaurant, and a rooftop lounge overlooking the entire city.
