Did you know July is National Blueberry Month? It seems odd we’d carve out a whole 31 days to celebrate a fruit, but it turns out this berry is totally deserving. Not only is the blueberry one of only three fruits native to North America—the other two are Concord grapes and cranberries—it also packs the most antioxidants of any fruit. We’re sure the folks in Minnesota are going carb wild this month, since the blueberry muffin is their state muffin (another weird American thing, we guess), so we decided L.A. should find our thrill on a different blueberry hill: We’re honoring the best blueberry cocktails in town, like the Berries and Basil drink at Blue on Blue.
