Valentine's Day cocktails

Strawberry Kiss @ Nine Thirty

Strawberries symbolize both Venus (the goddess of love), and fertility (because of their seeds). Thus, this gin, strawberry and basil infused cocktail available at Nine Thirty is the perfect drink to share with your sweetie if procreation is on your V-Day itinerary.

1 part Bombay Sapphire gin  
2.5 strawberries 
3 basil leaves 
.25 parts strawberry liqueur 
1.5 parts cranberry juice (white if possible) 

Muddle first two ingredients in the base of a cocktail shaker. Add gin and remaining ingredients with a large scoop of ice. Shake vigorously, then double strain into a chilled martini cocktail glass or over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
