This New Orleans twist on the Old Fashioned was named after its key ingredient: Sazerac de Forge et Fils cognac. That’s right—cognac! Whiskey only replaced cognac when our collective American taste buds changed. The Sazerac also has a sugar cube, Peychaud’s bitters abd absinthe.
