Avalon's exclusive Spider Club was quite the blockbuster success when it opened in the early 2000s, with Brent Bolthouse hosting weekly parties and headline-making celebs like Lindsay Lohan during her teen-terror, chain-smoking phase. It was all anyone could talk about! As nightlife tales go, Spider Club eventually ran its course, taking its final bow in the form of a splashy cameo on the premiere episode of the new "90210" in September 2008. In October, it was reborn Bardot, a glam Art Deco '20s-inspired club buzzing with women clad in trench coats and Veronica Lake hairstyles, mustachioed artist types, models, writers, flacks... Even the celebs still come around, only now you’re as likely to see them DJ’ing, like Ryan Gosling, who recently played a Motown-inspired set. Entertainment's heavy on the jazz, but party purveyors Jason Scoppa and Alexi Yulish like to mix it up at a moment's notice to keep it interesting.
