When we heard about the untimely demise of Little Radio's Summer Camp Sundays, we did our fair share of mourning. Then we took our pants off, and went to the Standard.

Boasting a roster of MSTRKRFT, the Klaxons and Wolfmother, indie label Modular Records is Australian for awesome, and getting their drink on with free monthly parties at the WeHo Standard. Expect bitchin' DJs, strong drinks and foxy chicks with tattoos floating around on inner tubes (see left).

Though we loffed the grimy dinge of Little Radio, driving west of Highland is a refreshing change of pace, and the Standard does have a real pool instead of a deflatable, wobbly Doughboy. Slather on the SPF, rock out to sets by the Bang Gang, and get your loveliness photographed by Shadowscene. We'll see you in the deep end, comrades.

When:
Saturday, August 25th: Noon-6 p.m.
            RSVP at www.modularpeople.com

Where:
The Standard in WeHo

Why:
Again, see picture above.
