Tall Paul's creatures are, indeed, tiny.

In fact, they’re having a party and they want you there. Miraculous!
Co-curators (they don't like the term) Janet Kim (of the band Softboiled Eggies) and Benjamin White (of the locally omnipresent Part Time Punks) have spent a year in their thin storefront exploring the boundaries of what an art gallery can be. Functioning like a community rec center, they’ve unveiled a barrage of events that any multitasker would appreciate. In addition to showing art-scribblings by fellow AM-enthusiast Ariel Pink and capriciously dark installations from Matt Fishbeck, Tiny Creatures has hosted a bevy of evening cult film screenings, performances by No Age and Mountain Party and also a tiny label that rolls out the occasional LP and 7-inch. But it’s not all rock and roll.
For all their connections with the musical intelligentsia (we use that word fearfully), Kim and White have a knack for spotting homegrown talent. Standouts include the ghostly work of Ellen Nyguen, colorfully subversive wall pieces by Emily Ryan and Tall Paul’s nearly eponymous palm-size sculptures (above).
For those of you who haven’t beaten a path down the ragged sidewalk or dodged cars on Clinton and Kent St. to find that perfect precarious parking space, grab your nearest loved one and cross the threshhold into the sweaty confines (it fills up quick, we tell you) this Saturday, September 15. It's gonna be an all-night thing, we imagine, with performances by Tall Paul and Vibe Central.
Give 'em a shout for us and try not to knock over Ariel. He's quite fragile when holding a beverage.
