Who likes short shorts? We like short shorts. The second day of TarFest’s three-day art orgy is a celebration of shorts in the form of films and music videos under five minutes, screened at the Korean Cultural Center in the afternoon. When you’re ready for some human beings in short shorts, hit the El Rey that evening, when the musical segment of TarFest will deliver performances by indie darlings like Castledoor and Love Lies Waiting, plus a crowd of attractive art aficionados and a set by DJ Diabetic (aka Shepard Fairey).
Korean Cultural Center, 5505 Wilshire Blvd. / El Rey, 5515 Wilshire Blvd., Miracle Mile; screenings 1 p.m.-3 p.m., music 7 p.m.; screenings free, music $10
