What: There are a few things this inaugural meat orgy has going for it. It’s going on right near the beach in Santa Monica, allowing us to prolong our denial that summer is ending. It’ll also feature myriad types of barbecue (Mississippi, Missouri, California, etc.) and award-winning cupcakery. And there will be a Johnny Cash cover band. The downside? It’ll cost $10 to get in and another $10 to eat.
Why: Once winter has you in its chilly grasp, you’d easily spend a Jackson to return to warmer, smokier, more delicious times. Carne diem!
