Yes, it’s in Alta Dena, but trust us on this one. The annual Monster Drawing Rally turns the William D. Davies Memorial Building into a beehive of nervous artist energy as 100 artists draw live before a crowd of onlookers while quality indie bands provide the live soundtrack. If you fall in love with a piece as it’s being created, it’s yours to purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Outpost for Contemporary Art. Don’t miss performances by chanteuse Jessica Fichot; Nasila wa Camila and her Egyptian-inspired choreography; and Billygoat, who’ll be screening an animated film alongside their live customary harp and accordion.
William D. Davies Memorial Building, 568 E. Mount Curve Ave., Altadena; 7 p.m.; $10 (children under 12 and Outpost members free)
Monday, October 13: ‘Superstars Next Door’ at the Silent Movie Theatre»
