If you’re near the ocean tonight but are less interested in the vast Pacific than in a “carnivalesque musical intermixed into a meandering semi-narrative,” we have an event for you. Head to the endearingly offbeat Sponto Gallery for a screening of Mike Kelley’s feature-length film Day is Done, a cinematic collage featuring “dancing goths, singing vampires, hick storytellers, horse dancers and the Virgin Mary.” Being that it’s 169 minutes long, we suggest popping in, taking a gander, sneaking out for a sandwich and coming back. Chances are you won’t lose much in terms of the narrative.
