Since they surprised a sleepy, complacent Los Angeles by turning a whole block of downtown into a functioning cornfield, Farmlab has been blurring the lines between art happenings and community-based, ecologically-sound events. As well as hosting walking tours of mini-gardens in Skid Row, these fine folks also run an installation-based gallery in their downtown space. Their thumbs are green from more than paint.
