No. You don't sit on the graves.  Now, let’s move on.

Living in place like Hollywood, in the midst of city like L.A., it’s hard to find a sense of true community. Sure, you may champion your particular neighborhood by saying: "Well, I shop at Trader Joe's and get drunk at Zen Sushi on Hyperion." or "Ooh, I never leave the junction...yeah, I call the place I live 'the junction!’"

We can fool ourselves into thinking we live in the kind of city where there’s a gazebo in the town square located at Santa Monica and Vine. In truth, there's no gazebo. But the closest we can get is a little thing called Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, an event which lures throngs of neighborly citizens to sprawl on a huge patch of cemetery lawn and stare up at mostly vintage movies flickering on the wall of a mausoleum. Picture this: everybody smiling and enjoying their homemade picnics (or, um, five dollar pizza from Little Caesars next door). And let us not overlook the strongest thread of the comraderie — BYOB!  Now that's a town square gazebo.

Where: Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd, Hollywood (just west of Bronson Ave.)

When: This Saturday marks the end of the Cinespia season, so if you've missed it every time, at least catch the creepiest selection of them all:

                                      Sat., September 15, "The Exorcist"

Why: Blankets, booze, bonding. Perhaps the best combination ever.

Insider Tip: Ride a bicycle and avoid the hideous parking gridlock.
