Quite possibly the worst run door in LA

I recently went there for my girlfriend's birthday. They have a package where you can purchase the Penthouse and get so many wristbands for the Bar/Club upstairs... Money was not an object so I said great lets do that. He then informs me that the Penthouse is occupied but you can still do the "party in a box" in a smaller room for the same price! O so let me get this straight...same price for a smaller room, where do I sign up? Despite hearing this I still decide to take the group to the standard roof top because I have had a good time in the past. WE DON'T GET IN. I am not one to complain..but the group was 5 guys and 10 girls. Figure out how to run a door! I am a former GM of a club and this is just bad business for any club/bar. It would be one thing if they were not allowing anyone in but I watched them allow 10-20 class acts (males) decked out in their Ed Hardy up top. Congrats to this establishment for ruining the ratio, the vibe and overall atmosphere. Take a tip from the other downtown establishment who had no problem letting us in that night; and abnormally large group of attractive women and the few guys waiting to spend the money! ...Learn how to run a door!

We came to just have dinner & do a little people watching. We ended up staying the night ; ) The food was amazing! & The service was right on! Affordable, Great food and hip without the hip attitude. awesome place to take a date. Couldn't ask for more !!!

I always have a great time when I come here. I'll especially bring out of town friends to give them a feel for a cool LA vibe without the attitude. The Restaurant food is sooooo good. The menu never gets tired. The servers are super nice and don't have the typical actor/waiter too cool for school attitude. The Roof is the place to be. A great view and a vibe unlike any other place in LA and I go out probably too much. It's a fun playground of food, booze and eye candy.

I enjoy this hotel every time i come here. The bar is nice just don't get food there or it will take up to an hour. The pool area is always fun. And i love the downtown LA feeling.

This place is good but you have to be lucky. The wait is long to build the hype. Go with friends and you will have a blast. Rent a room with that special someone and you will have an even better time.

Standard Downtown

I was looking for a place to kick back, have some drinks and be in a setting different than the normal crowded nightclubs. I finally found the perfect spot for that. The downtown area isn't as congested as Hollywood, so it's a nice getaway. I was able to do just what I wanted at the Standard Downtown...kick back, have drinks and do some dancing. Everyone was really nice and the security guys are really cute. I'll definitely be back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time I go here I have a super fun experience. Lunch in the restaurant is very well priced being a hotel and I never ordered anything I didn’t like. The rooms are fun and comfortable to hang out in. Everyone that works there is always friendly, even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. I would recommend getting a drink and lying out by the pool any day. I Love the Vibe!

I hate this place. I've gone almost every night in the week, hoping to find its "happening" night. Well, it doesn't exist. The music is almost ALL michael jackson or 70s stuff. The crowd is grandmas and grandpas standing around and watching the few younger people dance. Only upside is that it has an incredible view. To go just to chill, its ok, but to actually go and have fun, don't bet on it.

Every 3rd saturday was the city's biggest squirt gun fight, what a gas!!! Can't wait until next summer to "Swim with the Sharks"!!!!!
