‘Thomas the T-rex’ lab
For the better part of the next three years, the Natural History Museum will let you take a peek into their dinosaur laboratory. Thomas the T-rex (who may or may not be a male) was excavated in Southwestern Montana between 2003 and 2005. In what they're calling a "paleo-odyssey," observe a team of real paleontologists as they uncover new information about Thomas day by day. The hope is that by 2011, the Natural History Museum will install Thomas in their brand-new (but now under construction) facilities. The other hope is that you're not allergic to ancient, deceased reptiles.

Getting There

Parking:
On Site. Exposition Park Lot 3, west of Menlo just south of Exposition and east of Vermont. Cost for parking is usually $6, but may be more expensive if there is an event at the Coliseum (subject to change). Museum First Friday cost for parking is $6.
Wheelchair Access:
Yes. All exhibits are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Wheelchairs and strollers may enter through the staff entrance on the ground level.
