‘Be Quiet Emptiness,’ Deedee Cheriel

While some people's notion of Saturday night girl-on-girl action involves miniskirts and tequila shots, we present a less regrettable evening: new work by two female artists, who share Subliminal Projects gallery for their latest show. Deedee Cheriel offers satirical illustrative paintings involving sexually tangled human and animal forms (my goodness!), while Swiss-born Louise Bonnet unveils new pen-and-ink drawings of expressionless, emotionally unavailable figures.
