Recently, San Francisco duo The Dodos and Brooklyn's Akron/Family performed at the Natural History Museum’s First Fridays event, a monthly affair in which the museum opens up the floor for guests to carouse with the creatures of yestermillennium while listening to contemporary indie bands. With heavy drum rhythms and catchy guitars, the bands not only invoked the crowd, but also the beasts within.
