Beautiful Gym -- but mixed bag of instructors

I have been a member of Equinox since it opened as I was given a corporate membership. Previously I belonged to Spectrum in PV. I am very active and participate in many sports and group ex classes. There are some excellent instructors at this facility; however, for some reason some of the good ones are never on the schedule for very long while others are on for much longer than need be. For example, JJ, a lovely cycle/pilates/kettle ball instructor, seems to have an almost fanatical cult following. She is good, but -- I personally like some variety. It is the JJ show there as every class is taught by her. I prefer Kristine for boot camp -- she is powerful and an excellent facilitator. LC -- a friend of the former manager-- is ill-suited and ill-equipped to teach pilates -- why is she still there? She touches people inappropriately and she is unable to demonstrate the exercises due to posture and weight issues. There was a really great teacher named Lory who taught cycle and pilates but she was off the schedule; I know of people who have also asked for her to return but so far management only has eyes for the "old standbys". Kerry was good at cycle but she has been moved to a bad time slot. There is a class on Saturday morning that is never full, and that nobody save 4-8 members wants, but is still on the schedule -- why, I have asked, when that time --9:00 am on Saturday -- could be used for more productive, better classes that most members want and ask for? Management is clearly in disarray there and it shows. If you are thinking of a gym in PV check out Spectrum as well -- not as pretty, but great instructors, good equipment and cheaper!
