Hot & Bothered: hard to swallow

Dear H&B,
My girlfriend won’t swallow after giving oral sex because she claims sperm is full of male hormones that could damage a woman’s body. PLEASE tell her the truth.
Gag Order

Dear GO,
There are a lot of stories (probably propagated by men) about the fantastic benefits of swallowing for women: It’s good for her skin, it helps the teeth, it will literally make her feel happier due to some chemical response.

As for rabid hordes of invading male hormones Trojan-horsing down her gullet (unless of course you used a Trojan) to cause her bodily harm, she’s got nothing to worry about.  Now the bad news: Sorry to pee in your lemonade, but, according to the Stanford Sexual Health Peer Resource Center, it is possible to contract STDs through oral sex. Things like herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea and (though rare) HIV are possible to contract, and if she has any cuts or lesions on or in her mouth, that heightens the risk. Why not just go with the “It’s good for your skin” line and let the load fall where it may?

Dying to get some? (Sex advice, that is.)
