Unfortunately, that immediate interest value quickly disappears within moments of reading. The drawing, though clean and good, is generic, with the characters and background completely meshed together. Though that goes great for flow and storytelling, it offers the readers no particular breaks to have their eyes readjust or for their brain to take in the plot. Storywise, someone wants to be the big dog and the good guy stands in their way, usual ninja politics. Mix in a bit of the usual romantic comedy, an overly capable woman and an incapable male, and hilarity almost ensues. To end on a positive note, the artist(s)' attention to details are excellent. The consistency of the art is remarkably well done, it doesn't take a whole lot to be able to differentiate from one character to the next. The story also offers an interesting point of view of modern day Ninjas and how they would possibly operate in order to survive and thrive in today's society.
