Amelia Fitzwater
3129 1/2 Glendale Blvd. - Los AngelesThis neighborhood store loves itself some Atwater Village. In addition to (Heart) Atwater Village t-shirts, you'll find all sorts of yummy gifts from stationery products (cards, moleskine journals) to hardbound art anthologies to fortune telling fish.
Black Maria Gallery / Under the Table
3137 Glendale Blvd - Los AngelesDelivers thought-provoking art from low-brow, avant garde, and emerging artists. Usually a safe bet for a good opening. With their retail store, Under the Table, just next door, you can browse through collections of monstrous figurines, skate decks by L.A. artists, or even pick up a Gary Baseman lunchbox.
Bill's Liquor Store
3150 Glendale Blvd. - Los AngelesBecause everyone needs a little refreshment, this impressively-facaded sundries mart might also be known to "Ugly Betty" fans as the place where Santos was killed. Pretty impressive, as the show is supposed to take place in Queens.
Canelé
3219 Glendale Blvd. - Atwater VillageCanel is a relative newcomer to this neighborhood of hipsters and industry-types. The kitchen is open and the intimate dining room is often filled with tantilizing aromas: trout with potatoes and shallots, roast lamb, pork loin and house-made creme brulee.
Velvet Threads
3203 Glendale Blvd. - Los AngelesThis Atwater vintage store sells jewelry, handbags, clothes clothes and more clothes. Also, be careful not to run afoul of all the lovely vintage shoes underfoot.
