Back in January, the first-ever HARD festival rang in the new year with a raging party in Downtown's Arts District. (Full disclosure: Metromix was an event sponsor.) This week, HARD is back for a summer shindig, and it's got some help from N.E.R.D., Kid Sister, MSTRKRFT, Spank Rock, the Bloody Beetroots, and (why not?) skateboarding pros Terry Kennedy and friends. If that sounds like a lot to wrap your head around, or if you just want to be able to keep up with the kids, check out our survival guide to all things HARD in this week's edition of Metromix.
Also this week, we better ourselves with some vegan cooking classes, take a look at the second coming of the iPhone, sit down with the king of the classic hipster bar, storm the new Anisette Brasserie (alongside Michel Richard…sorta), round up the "Dark Knight" news and reviews, and dispense some sex advice in Hot & Bothered. Check it out in the print edition of Metromix, available free from news boxes all around L.A., and here on metromix.com.
