With just over a month until Election Day, the presidential race is all anyone can think about—ourselves included. That's why, this week, Metromix features some special election coverage. First we chat with Pantera Sarah, a no-nonsense Hollywood club maven who moonlights as a political activist. Sarah happens to be an Obama supporter, but her main message is that it's important to get involved and go to the polls: "It's not about telling people what to think, it's about asking them to think."
To help you get motivated, Metromix has rounded up a number of ways to support your candidate of choice, from canvassing to phone-banking to fundraisers—there's also some political partying thrown in just to keep things interesting. Hopping off the campaign trail, we write up a crib sheet for the 10th Annual Eagle Rock Music Fest, chown down at the recently redone Max in Sherman Oaks and get some lovin' advice from Hot & Bothered. Read it in the print edition of Metromix, available free all across L.A., and online at metromix.com.
