Making a sequel is easy. Making a good sequel? Not so easy.
Just look to last summer's raft of releases for proof of that. But fortunately for every "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" and "Shrek the Third," there were a few follow-ups that proved to be more than just transparent attempts at cashing in on a "franchise."
"28 Weeks Later" adopts the zombie-driven chills of its cult favorite predecessor, "28 Days Later," and uses them to pump up a fresh story with new characters. It's good Halloween season fun.
DVD bonus features include filmmaker commentary, deleted scenes (with optional commentary), trailers, behind-the-scenes featurettes and additional material that bridges the time gap between "28 Days" and "28 Weeks."
"28 Weeks Later" and "28 Days Later" are also available on Blu-ray.
