"Hostel Part II"

In case you haven't heard, Halloween is right around the corner. And that means a bonanza of horror films hitting DVD.
The entire month has seen plenty of genre titles, but it's an unrated cut of "Hostel Part II" that leads the way this week. A flop in its summer theatrical release, the "torture porn" flick is sure to grab more eyeballs on home video.
The original "Hostel" also hits DVD and Blu-ray in a new "director's cut" version, while another gory sequel, "Saw III," also gets the "director's cut" treatment.
Scream-worthy box sets include "The Saw Trilogy" (although calling that series a "trilogy" seems a little silly since part four opens on Friday...) and a collection of Mario Bava's cult favorite flicks—aptly named "Bava Box Set, Vol. 2."
There's also a new two-disc special edition of horror classic "The Shining," available on its own, on Blu-ray or HD-DVD or in a new box set of director Stanley Kubrick's work.
If that's not enough for you, the spoof "Scary Movie" and an unrated version of "The Hills Have Eyes 2" both hit Blu-ray and "Seed of Chucky" makes its HD-DVD debut.
And no horror round-up is complete without a couple of '80s titles. Clive Barker's torture-porn predecessor "Hellraiser" is out on disc in a special 20th anniversary edition, while the little-seen guilty pleasure slasher "Cutting Class" also arrives in an unrated version which prominently features a pre-stardom Brad Pitt on its cover.
