Original: The 1985 Cold War flick starred Anthony Edwards as Jonathan, an assassination game-playing college student lured into real life intrigue by sexy double agent Sasha (Linda Fiorentino).

The sequel: Building on the undeniable teen appeal of “Charlie Wilson’s War,” this late-‘80s set sequel picks up two years after the original with recent grad Jonathan (Adam Brody) wasting away as a record store clerk obsessed with the mysterious death of Sasha.

The C.I.A. pulls him back into “the life” for a globe-spanning undercover mission to prevent the sale of nukes by rogue Russians to Middle Eastern terrorists. Posing as a naïve American tourist, Jonathan discovers Sasha's killer, exacts revenge and discovers new love with British MI6 agent, Pippa (Billie Piper).
