"Dogma" (1999)

The s--- monster attacks: Smith’s humor can be scatological as often as it is sexual, as evidenced by this film’s horned, disgustingly dripping creature made of human waste (a “Golgothan,” formed from the excrement of those crucified on the same hill as Jesus Christ, as Salma Hayek’s character helpfully explains). When the monster attacks the film’s heroes at a bar, at one point firing off a poop projectile that smears the walls, Smith’s mute onscreen alter ego, Silent Bob, halts the rampage with the perfect weapon: a blast of air freshener.
