"Barb Wire" (1996)

On the page: The tough owner of a club in an apocalyptic future takes on mercenary jobs on the side.
How it turned out: Based on a little-known Dark Horse comic, Pam Anderson tried to cross over from TV's "Baywatch" and the pages of Playboy to the big screen with this rickety vehicle. Instead of reveling in the comic’s trashy hardcore premise, "Barb Wire" shoots for credibility by swiping its plot from "Casablanca"—with Anderson in the Humphrey Bogart role!—and misses by a mile.
