3. "Robocop" (1987)

The robot: Robocop

The program: A cop (Peter Weller) in future Detroit gets shot by cracked-out thugs funded by a group of real estate yuppies who want to level the Motor City. But little did they know that the police department had the ability to rebuild him…better, stronger and wittier.   

The result: Robocop had plenty of sweet cyborg amenities including an in-leg gun holster and infrared vision, but the real mystery was what he was packing under that Kevlar codpiece.
