I love this place. I live around the block and stumbled upon it about 8 months ago. Bob, who runs the place is wonderful and Julian is my favorite waiter. Not only is the menu great the ambiance is fantastic. Reminds me of the little eateries in San Francisco. It's small but not too small with a great patio for people watching. I am a vegetarian and have no problem customizing or finding items on the menu; and my carnal-loving friends rave about the rotisserie chicken, the amount they get and the price. They also have good wine. Every person I have taken here so far has become a repeat customer - whether they live in the area or not. ;)

First off, the food was great and the service was good. A little unprofessional as the waiter who served us had asked my girlfriend if she was my G.F. when i had excused myself to the restroom (the waiter was a gay man).

Like i said, the food was great and the service was good, but when we got the $186 bill, we each started throwing in our fair shares plus the tips. When the bill didn't add up, we noticed there was an 18% gratuity already added(the 18% equaled $26.xx) We all paid in cash and with 2 credit cards. To make it easier, We had them charge $40 to my card, and the rest of the bill on the other card(and the other card holder kept the cash). Since 18% was included in the bill, we left no tip on the table. As we were standing outside, he came out and gave us a "i think you forgot to sign a receipt" bit. It was his way of saying, you forgot to tip me. We said, no, tip was included in the bill and on the credit cards.

When i got home tonight, i noticed that my card was charged for almost $50 when i had clearly wrote $40 on my receipt. INCREDIBLY DISHONEST. Thankfully my bank reversed the charge. I will be calling the Creperie first thing in the morning and reporting this to the manager.
