One might assume that In-N-Out is L.A.'s reigning king of huge, fresh burgers, but live here a few years and you'll know that the aptly named Fatburger really holds the title. Boasting the beefiest patties, thick slabs of lava-hot steak fries, and real ice cream shakes topped with mounds of whipped cream, they also have healthier options like a well-spiced lean turkey burger and a veggie option, Fatburger may set you back a few extra bucks and the drive thru takes a golden eternity, but the reward is down-home greasy goodness that's well worth it.
