Sounds like my terrible run in with the Host at this place is not the first. With reservations last Saturday night 4/25, we were disappointed to be taken to a table in a completely empty back part of the room, even though there were several open tables in the packed and lively front part of the restaurant. After initially asking if we could wait for another open table, it quickly escalated into some mysterious pissing match with this grumpy Host ultimately referring to a Latin member of my party as "Amigo(!?) and threatening not to seat us at all. We left, vowing never to return, and ultimately had a wonderful meal right around the corner a Il Picolino, showing up without reservations, but being treated with respect and dignity. Melrose Bar & Grill is badly run -- don't waste your money or your time.

Melrose Bar and Grill has made the summer's most wanted drink list. Two refreshing drinks to cool down with this summer are the "Cucumber Mint Martini" and the "Pomegranate Margarita." Add the "Pretzel and Sausage" appetizer and your mouth will explode with deliciousness.

I was invited to the Melrose Bar and Grill for a lunch meeting and just fell in love with the place! The menu has the most delicious freshly baked Pretzel and Sausage appetizer. I also enjoyed a Maui burger from the daily specials. I've been back several times and have had something as exquisitely delicious each time, including the ribs, a reuben sandwich and the pizza appetizers are to die for. The atmosphere is so relaxing and is a great place to sit back with a bottle wine and friends. Check out this little gem. You'll love it.

If you were a fan of Doug Arango's, as we were, you are going to fall in love with their new/same place, Melrose Bar and Grill. Chris Bennett cannot make a wrong move in the kitchen and he proves it again!! I am NOT a fan of pub food, or even bars, but this new place in their same location can hardly be described as pub food. It has all the marks of a chic NY/LA/San Francisco restaurant, with a fresh, innovative and mixed menu. My husband and I couldn't figure out the concept until we started to eat. Then we got it. Don't think beer, think wine, which they excel in!! I don't know how many coats of paint it took to get rid of those famously ugly red walls but almost overnight the owners gutted the place and reopened with a hip, clean, uncluttered hot new eatery. Like the pros that they are, they kept the transformation secret in a town where there are no secrets! Congratualtions guys, on the new place. I loved seeing it packed Saturday night. You won't be disappointed!! PS: the duck burger ROCKS!!
