The former mayor has added a new addition to the Original Pantry Café family. The tavern has a full bar and a carving station that churns out huge sandwiches, and the menu includes basics like onion rings and shrimp cocktail. The proximity to Staples Center and the flat screen TVs will probably turn it into a sports fans’ hangout, but this tavern might want to increase the number of beers on tap. Food isn’t necessarily the main draw here. That honor falls to the strong drinks and the friendly atmosphere.
