Breakfast on the go: Clementine

At your service: Curbside pickup at Clementine. Available Mon.-Fri 10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Breakfast bell: Mon.-Fri. 7 a.m. and Sat. 8 a.m.; breakfast menu is available until 10:30 a.m. weekdays, 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Meal on wheels:
Just about anything on the menu is a delicious morning pick-me-up. While the made-to-order oatmeal is a wholesome way to start the day, a piping hot bowl is the last thing you'd want on your lap at 80 mph. The breakfast sandwich of house-baked biscuit, poached egg, shaved ham and cheese puts the McNasty to shame. Clementine is also arguably the city's best bakery; there's the assortment of muffins, scones and croissants, if you're feeling more continental. Heck, if nothing else, treat yourself to a breakfast cookie, or a dozen.

Driving tip: At least 15 minutes ahead, call in your order or print an order form from www.clementineonline.com and fax it in. Come to the parking lot (entrance is right west of Johnnie's New York Pizzeria) and park in the special pickup area. Call 310-552-1080 (press 2 to speak to a staff member) and your food will be messengered to your car. As a bonus to all late risers, a dedicated curbside attendant is planted outside from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., so you don’t even have to lift a finger to call.
