It all Depends on your Standards

I'd heard a lot about this place before going. Its an enjoyable place without a doubt. The menu is very creative, offering a unique opportunity to try new combinations of flavors. For that reason alone I gave it a 4 star for food. I have been there twice and I had a fine time. Each time I found the food unique but not WOW. I would say its a great place to go try something new, and I'm glade I went but I probably wont be going there again.

Consistently Delivers

We live walking distance from BEACON, so are regular diners there. The food and service are consistently outstanding and there is always a convivial atmosphere. In addition, the restaurant's acoustic design is conducive to a pleasant conversation during your delicious meal. One suggestion for anyone dining here for the first time is to resist ordering sushi as the main course. It's very good - that's not the issue - but take advantage of the creativity of the chef and try the prepared dishes. The lychee dessert is out of this world good.

Great Place in Culver City

I went to this place when Culver City hosted it's art walk and I was impressed by the ambiance and the food. I love Japanese food and their take on classic Japanese food is awesome. I had a bento box that was a success in my opinion. Plus, my friend who had the pad thai loved it, and he is very picky on exotic food. The decoration has two faces: in the say it is very open and bright, and at night it is very intimate with red colors. Since it is small it even makes it more intimate. Eating outside is cool, especially where there is a truck sticking out of the wall, it reminds me of an old Culver City. As an student of architecture and native Angeleno, this place will not fail.
