The food is delicious, the service incredible! We have been regulars since we moved to Chatsworth in the mid 90s. There is LOTS of atmosphere- maybe not fancy- but its a lot of fun. As to the cleanliness issue raised above, the restaurant has an "A" rating from the LA Public Health Department. You can see how clean everything is on your way to the bathroom.
