Since 1955, Trader Vic's has been intoxicating the Hollywood elite in their kitschy, Polynesian-style bar, whose dim lights and high-backed booths offered some semblance of privacy to overexposed stars. Fruity, umbrella-adorned cocktails put Vic's on the map, as did their appetizers, which include sushi, pupu platters and chicken skewers. The original restaurant is no longer, but Trader Vic's has been reincarnated as a poolside lounge, adjacent to Circa 55 at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
