had My 30th Birthday party here and from the start everything was great. With in 2 hours of my party the owner gets very unprofessional and starts to ask for money that was not asked for 3 weeks prior to me having the party there. He start turning the lights off and telling my guest that they had to leave whil they were eating there appitzers. When it came to the bar they were NOT to have any hard liqour because they didnt have there liqour lisence.( But they did). I didnt get all my food that i was suppose to get. they started taken plates from my guest while they were eating. They had my DJ stop his music. It was just the worst 30th birthday I had. When i went out side to stop the valet from taking money from my guest, there was a long line of people waiting to get in.
What made matters worst was when my guest left to get there car from the Valet, the valet gave them there keys and had them walk to get there own car.
All i can say at this point is that this place made my 30th birthday a disaster! They are to most unprofessinal place i have ever been. They dont hold there word to nothing.I wouldnt recommend anyone to have any type of party this resturant. the owner is rude and the management is untrained on how to treat customers who are spending there money. Please dont waste your time!!!!

On Thursdy, May 29th, I was part of a seven-person party that decided to try the Seven Resaurant & Bar on the coner of 7th and Grand in downtown L,A. I would say we were a bit underwhelmed.
It is an extremely small restaurant, with seating of maybe 20-to 24 max, not counting the private room. The bar is directly behind the tables which, when added to the load music blaring constantly, makes for an evening that is difficult for conversations. Add to it, on this night the Lakers-Spurs were on TV causing for sporadic load cheering. The staff, while being VERY attentive, are not the most informed in the world of fine dining. When asked for a recomendation of a good mid-priced cabernet his response was "it's on the wine list." When pressed he came out with "I'm not the cabernet guy, I know the pinot noir's." He ended up getting the bartended to make a recomendation, which turned out to be a good choice.
On to the food, the salads are huge, almost too big for a starter. One of our party tries the sashimi which he said was good. They do have a good bread service that is constantly bringing new slices to your table. The entries were average at best. I had the 8 ounce tenderloin which was flavorable but not outstanding, but was cooked perfectly. The side asparagus and potatos were lacking in flavor though. One person in our party tried the spaghetti which she stated was just awful. Other opinions of our party for their choices ranged from bad to OK.
Overall, I would have to say pass on this restaurant for now, especially for dinner. It might not be a bad place to stop by after work (once they get their liquor license) to unwind. But for now, no thank you.

Seven is awesome! I am so glad downtown is getting some chic places! It’s about time!! The ambience of seven is amazing from the aesthetic, to the wine selection and the food. The crowd is a great mix of people hanging out. There is an outside patio where you can enjoy a drink and a smoke. A perfect place to go out to on the weekend or after work for a quick drink, instead of sitting in dreadful traffic. Check it out I highly recommend it!
