A coffee experience like no other—so much so that the name is itself an ALL-CAPS(!) shout out—LAMILL the boutique will change your caffeine-fueled point of view. Outfitted from head to toe in the most stylish furnishings (most of which are Earth- and animal-friendly, good citizens) and couture-worthy equipment (custom-colored Clovers and a one-of-a-kind La Marzocco espresso machine of hand pounded copper), the interior very much looks the part of the boutique. No, this isn't the corner spot for you to drag your MacBook Pro and plug in; it's a place to get dressed up in your culinary Manolos.
An unprecedented collaboration with Providence—arguably the best restaurant in Los Angeles—has devised a menu that would make any foodie (and likely, your wallet) weep: frisee au lardon with coffee-infused vinaigrette, Caesar salad updated with yuzu, oeuf en cocotte with Dungeness crab, pumpkin soup served tableside and garnished with coffee grounds, and an ABLT (the "A" stands for Asian) composed of sous vide pork belly. All from the mighty hands of one Michael Cimarusti. Desserts, chocolates and pastries from Providence's pastry chef Adrian Vasquez are just as fancy and craveable (get thee the passionfruit gelee!). But of course, it's all about the premium coffee—micro-roasted and processed locally (LAMILL is a hometown boy)—which is offered in multiple mind-boggling ways: French-press, Eva Solo, Clover, Chemex, siphon, espresso. Just don't ask for it from a Mr. Coffee drip, you heathen.
