Remember your first bite of a Krispy Kreme doughnut, hot and fresh off
the conveyor belt? The pillowy, light, sugar-kissed rings of deep-fried
dough that melted in your mouth? For a minute of bliss, we all forgot
about calorie-counting and the size of our thighs. This once extremely
popular chain popped up with locations all over L.A., and then as
quickly as they appeared, they were closed again. Whether it was an
over-saturation of the market or the carb-free diet fad, it was sad to
